If you want to explore the local whereabouts of the city, you can also take a bus from IGI Airport Terminal 2 station. The quickest way to get to the garden is by hailing a taxi and the ride will almost take 19 minutes. Located almost 18.9 km away from the airport, there are plenty of ways to reach Delhi’s jewel, Lodhi Garden. It might rain heavily or not at all, also, sometimes it can get humid and sweaty. The visit should be completely avoided from April to June as the temperature can easily exceed 40 degrees Celsius. There is no entry fee required for entering into Lodhi Garden.

Being a lush garden, Lodhi Park holds the tombs of Sayyid ruler Mohammed Shah and Lodhi King Sikandar Lodhi. It is known for its architecture, gardens, and peaceful atmosphere. Later, Sikandar Lodi, the second ruler of the Lodi dynasty, expanded the garden and built his own tomb there in 1517.

Throughout the park there are many more structures and ruins, with old walls, mosques and other tombs scattered around. Again it is beautiful corner of the park to quietly spend a minute in the company of history. We came here a few times across our three visits to the Indian capital and it always succeeded in being a calming reset after the hubbub and frenetic pace of the city outside.
